Make Your Content Pre-sell

Everyone is looking for the incredible golden egg for affiliate marketing success. The truth is there is no golden egg. If there was one, though it would be publishing an ezine.

In the first part of this series you learned that a profitable ezine is one that is original, relevant, and short. In this part you'll learn how to really explode your affiliate commissions with your ezine.

First, I want to explain an important part of affiliate marketing. I think it's the most important consideration in affiliate or niche marketing and a lot of people disregard it. This consideration is imperative to successfully understanding this part's topic.

The profitable ability in affiliate marketing is tied directly to your advertising. The more you advertise the better you are. Obviously it stands to reason that the more people you get to visit your site the better the chances are that you'll cerate a steady cash flow. However, if you have to continue paying for the same visitors your profits will quickly diminish.

That's why an ezine is so crucial to your overall affiliate success. You can stay in contact with website visitors, who have opted to sign up for your ezine, whenever you need to. This is a powerful way to let people know about your latest article, your latest blog post, any specials that are available, new products, or a new recommended merchant.

Your success is your ezine.

Which leads me to the topic at hand. What is it that once you have good, quality subscribers that can create a tremendous boost in profits?

Be Consistent

I know you were looking for a huge secret that you've never heard before. I'm sorry to dissapoint. But, unfortunately, not many publishers are consistent.

Again, this goes back to the overall importance of your advertising budget. The lower you can keep it, the more profits you make.

The better you are at keeping in constant contact with your ezine subscribers the more you can lower your advertising budget. Successful ezine publishers are the ones that are consistent in their publishing schedules.

It is so frustrating to start enjoying the writings of a publisher and then not receive a new issue for months. You're left with so many questions. What happened to them? If they operate their ezine this way, do they do the same with their business? Are they really the expert that I need to be reading?

Consistency in your publishing is not an excuse to oversaturate your readers. As I stated in the previous part of this series, less is more. I have started to publish on a bi-weekly basis, when previously it was every week. The results have been very pleasing, and really quite surprising.

Once you decide on a schedule, stick to it. Don't let anything interfere with your publishing.

Your publishing date has to be set in stone and a non-negotiable. Your subscribers are waiting for your next issue and if it doesn't come on schedule, they will go elsewhere. I know. I learned this concept the hard way.

I was of the mindset that if I have something new to say I'll publish my ezine then. Sadly, a lot of people do this also. It sounds like a great idea, but it just doesn't work. After about 7 weeks of not publishing a new issue, when I finally did, I lost several subscribers who thought I was sending them spam. They didn't remember signing up.

Consistency, is more important to your affiliate success than anything else you can do. Decide on a publishing schedule for your ezine... and stick to it!
